We are results driven
We are outcomes obsessed and in it to win it. We roll up our sleeves and work our butts off. We are always trying to learn, constantly reshaping our playbook and using data to better understand what it takes to win.
We are local and invested
We are rooted in Alaska and care deeply about our community. We work to understand and live out Alaskan values. We hold trusted relationships with stakeholders across the state and in peer communities across the Mountain West.
We are pragmatic
We recognize that having the right idea is only half the battle. What counts is the ability to turn ideas into action through effective advocacy and infectious team-building. That’s what we do.
Our story
Ship Creek Group is an Alaska-based one-stop-shop for candidate, initiative, and advocacy campaigns. We launched in 2015 with the goal of building the first-choice team for mission-aligned campaigns in Alaska and the rural Mountain West, and we’ve worked hard to get there. We believe in candidates and causes that transcend the partisan divide and put country and community over party.
Our team is designed around winning political campaigns. We are organized by generalist project managers (Project Team) and technical professionals (Specialist Teams). Currently our Specialist Teams are grouped across 5 key areas: Compliance, Creative, Data & Research, Finance and Marketing.
We combine experience across 6 state election cycles and more than a dozen local elections, serving over 100 candidates, ballot propositions, and advocacy/organizing campaigns. We have supported advertising and communications for clients with brand design and campaign planning, as well as production and placement of radio, TV, digital, mail and field communications.
Notably, we are one of very few AK firms that have successfully worked across the aisle, winning 41 of 45 directly managed campaigns for Republicans, Democrats and Independents in communities as far flung as the conservative hotbeds of the Kenai and the Mat-Su, more progressive areas in rural and southeast Alaska, and the purple battlegrounds of Anchorage and Fairbanks. Our work has featured in Politico Magazine, Slate and the Anchorage Daily News, and has earned awards from the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
